The Zurich Graduate School in Mathematics (ZGSM) is the joint doctoral program of the Department of Mathematics at ETH (D-MATH) and the Institute of Mathematics at UZH (I-MATH).

 

Announcement:

On May 30, 2022, Prof. Thomas Kappeler passed away. Thomas co-founded the ZGSM in 2003, he shaped it with his ideas and he served as a director (on the side of I-Math) from 2006 until his retirement in 2018. The ZGSM would not exist in its present form without Thomas' efforts. We are very sad about his sudden death and we wish to express our deepest condolences to the family in this difficult time.
